HERITAGE VEGETABLES
Growing for flavour,
preserving tradition and
nurturing the soil.
A TASTE OF TRADITION
Before uniformity and convenience shaped modern vegetable growing, kitchen gardens were places of remarkable variety, where flavour, seasonality and the gardener's skill were central to the harvest.
At The Kitchen Garden, we are rediscovering that tradition through heritage and open-pollinated vegetables, chosen for their character, flavour and connection to the past. Grown with care for the soil and the wildlife around them, these are plants worth preserving for the generations to come.

A GARDEN IN THE MAKING
A productive kitchen garden is built season by season. Beds are prepared, seeds are sown, varieties are tested and lessons are learned along the way.
Here in Cornwall, we are laying the foundations for a garden that brings together traditional horticulture and regenerative growing. There is much still to be done, and that is part of the story: discovering which varieties thrive, learning from each harvest and building a garden shaped by the seasons rather than hurried by them.

FROM OUR GARDEN TO YOUR TABLE
In time, we hope to share the harvest through seasonal produce, with the possibility of heritage seeds and other garden-grown offerings developing alongside it.
For now, the garden is growing, and its story is unfolding one season at a time. Follow the journal to discover the varieties we grow, the traditions we are exploring and the work behind a kitchen garden taking shape.
